The area is particularly renowned for salmon and halibut - many anglers experience the best fishing of their lives off the coast of this breathtakingly beautiful yet remote region.

Your package includes:

Three days of all-inclusive fishing aboard the new Sea West II;
Four nights accommodation in a comfortable vacation home;
Quality fishing tackle and bait matched to the target species;
Cleaning of your catch and storage in an iced cooler;
Rain tops and rain suits provided when required; and
The guidance of experienced angler Bret Johnston.

Bret Johnston's goal is to ensure you catch fish, so he never limits fuel or bait. He also provides quality fishing tackle, to improve your odds of landing the big ones.

For salmon, he provides Berkley or Shimano rods with Islander and Trophy single action reels or Penn 220GTi level wind reels. For halibut, he provides Penn 330 GTI reels, 100 pound "Tuff Line" and Shakespeare rods.

Once you have your catch, Bret will prepare it for transport by cooler or arrange for it to be processed in a licensed fish plant. For example, Seapak in Masset will custom cut, smoke and blast-freeze fish. For salmon, you can choose hot or cold smoke, candy smoke, or lox.

Transport of your catch to Seapak is included as part of your charter.

After your days on the ocean, you'll be able to relax in a comfortable vacation home which includes:

A fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, ready to cook your catch;
A deck with a barbeque, perfect for grilled salmon;
A home theatre system and stereo for evening relaxation;
Three bedrooms; and
Complete laundry facilities and one-and-one-half bathrooms.

The home is located in Massett, the largest community in Haida Gwaii, and is within easy walking distance to shopping, the marina, restaurants, the recreation centre and more.
