Making your way to Massett

Remote enough to remain pristine, Massett is still easily acccessible via air and sea. In addition to charter boat service, the provincial government's B.C. Ferries service links Haida Gwaii to Prince Rupert. There is also an airport at Massett for charter flights and Pacific Coastal Airlines. Float plane companies also offer seaplane flights into Massett.
Massett is the largest village in Haida Gwaii, with approximately 1,000 full-time residents. It is located on the north tip of Graham Island, the largest island in the archipelago.

Sea
From Prince Rupert, you can take a B.C. Ferry to Skidegate. Although the ferry trip is six hours, it is the most affordable way to bring your own vehicle or RV. From Skidegate, Massett is a 90-minute drive north on a well-paved, scenic highway. Reservations made well in advance are recommended for ferry travellers wanting to bring vehicles on board, as space is at a premium between June and September.
Reservations are usually not required for foot passengers. Bus service between island communities is provided by Eagle Transit.
